Ingredients
- *Apples:
- 3 large granny smith apples, skinned, cored and sliced thin
- 3 large honey crisp apples , skinned, cored and sliced thin (pink lady or other crisp apples work well also)
- 2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1-2 tbsps butter or coconut oil
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg
- *Crumble Topping
- 1 cup old-fashioned or quick oats (gluten-free if necessary)
- 1/2 cup almond flour

Directions
- Prepare an 8x8 inch baking pan with butter or coconut oil, set aside.
- Set the oven to 350° and prepare all the ingredients while it warms up.
- Peel and core the apples, slice them into thin slices (or equal sized cubes, if you wish).
- In a medium size bowl, toss the apples, maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the apple mixture into the 9x9 inch baking dish.
- *Apple Crumble
- In a medium size bowl add all the ingredients, mix together with your hands until it is combined and crumbly.
- Pour the crumble on the apple mixture in the 9x9 inch pan.
- *Baking the Apple Crisp
- Place the apple crisp into the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven, allow it to cool for about 10 mins.
- Serve with ice cream or a whipped cream.
