Golden Turmeric Milk (Haldi Doodh)

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk of choice (I prefer hemp or coconut milk)
- 1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp fresh ground ginger root
- 1 stick of cinnamon (can use cinnamon powder instead)
- pinch of black pepper
- maple syrup (sweeten to taste)
Directions
- In a small saucepan (on medium heat) add all the ingredients (except the maple syrup).
- Heat for about 5 minutes. Whisk often to prevent it from burning to the bottom of the pan.
- Now add the maple syrup to sweeten as desired.
- Serve immediately.
