My favorite post-workout meal is a smoothie. It's simple and easy to put together when in a pinch for time. Add a handful of nutrient dense, protein rich foods to the blender, flip the switch and VOILA!
This smoothie here is more focused on post-workout, protein and nutrition. I personally do not use protein powders daily as many are highly modified, I would rather prefer to use a food source protien, but feel free to add some if you like (I would go with vanilla or plain).
In this recipe I use almonds, hemp seeds, and almond milk to boost the protein content naturally. The other ingredients help boost the nutrient profile by adding, healthy fats, vitamins C, A, iron, etc...
Be sure to consume your post workout meal within 30-45 minutes after working out to reap its full benefits!
Hope you enjoy, cheers to our health!!
XO,
Bobbielee
