So the other day I was looking on amazon for ideas to add some natural blue coloring to our baked goods and I came across a product by Foraging Organics called Blue Butterfly Pea Powder.
While doing my research, I discovered that Blue Butterfly Pea Flowers are native to Thailand and Malaysia, as well as other parts of Southeast Asia. The flowers are high in anthocyanin, an antioxidant found in blueberries and raspberries. Lastly, there are benefits in memory and brain function. Hmmmm - "add to cart".
Well I just received this mysterious blue powder and added varying amounts to our smoothies today and they were a hit. They tasted great and the kids LOVED the vibrant blue color!
I cannot wait to create more magical blue recipes!!
XO,
Bobbielee
