I was asked to share more smoothie recipes, so I decided to start the new year by sharing 7 delicious smoothie recipes... Day 1!

This recipe here is our Blueberry Spinach Refresher. It contains blueberries (high in nutrients and antioxidants), spinach (high in vitamins, minerals, spinach - think popeye), ginger, turmeric, lemon, etc.

Feel free to decrease the ginger to 1/2 inch piece or eliminate if you are not a fan.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup raw spinach
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 inch piece fresh turmeric root
  • 1 inch piece ginger root
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • dash of fresh ground black pepper

Directions

Add all ingredients to a high powered blender, blend until smooth.

Enjoy right away.
