This quick and easy method to prepare steel cut oats has been a game changer for my morning routine!! All you need are steel cut oats, water, sea salt and whatever toppings you choose to add to your hearty bowl of goodness...

If you haven't had steel-cut oats before, they are a bit chewy and have a nutty flavor. One serving of steel-cut oats (1/4 cup) has about 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. We enjoy topping our oat bowls with fresh berries, raisins, ground nuts and/or seeds. Oat bowls are a great way to start your day and an easy way to fuel your cells!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 3 cups water

Directions

Rinse the oats under water in a strainer or mesh colander.

Add the rinsed oats and water to the pot of the Instant Pot.

Set the Instant Pot on "Pressure Cook" for 4 minutes, allowing the pressure to release naturally for about 15-20 minutes.

Remove the lid when safe, top as desired and sprinkle a little love!
