Staying hydrated is one of the simplest (and most powerful) ways to feel your best, especially before or after activity. While it’s tempting to grab a sports drink, most are loaded with added sugars, dyes, and mystery “flavors.” When I need something quick, I’ll simply reach for water, but when I have a few extra minutes minutes, I love making this homemade Watermelon Electrolyte Drink.
It’s made with just a handful of clean, nourishing ingredients:
Coconut water → naturally hydrating, rich in potassium
Watermelon → cooling, high in water content, vitamin C, A, and magnesium
Celtic sea salt → provides trace minerals and supports electrolyte balance
Fresh lime juice → bright, zesty, and packed with vitamin C
We usually drink this about 1–2 hours before heading out, or after returning home from a workout or sports. It’s light, delicious, and so refreshing... and yes, it’s kid-approved, too! My kids love it, which makes it a win all around.
XO,
Bobbielee
