This dessert is perfect for the holiday season. It not only tastes amazing but has such a beautiful presentation!
It is super easy to put together with a handful of staple ingredients (you likely already have them in your cupboard). After approximately 35 minutes baking in the oven, it is ready to serve.
I prefer serving ours warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream... hmmmm melted ice cream!!!
The type of apple you use is entirely up to you but I definitely recommend using a sweet apple like Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, Fuji or Gala.
XO,
Bobbielee
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Slice the tops off the apples and hollow them out using a melon baller (save the apple).
In a medium size bowl, add the oats, butter, coconut sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir it all together.
Stuff the apples with the oat mixture and place the apples into a baking dish.
Pour the apple cider into the bottom of the baking dish.
Bake the stuffed apple in the oven for 35-40 minutes. They should be soft.
Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream.
