Today is INTERNATIONAL DONUT DAY, let's CELEBRATE with... Broccoli!! Just joking, chocolate glazed DONUTS obv!!!
We love donuts, who doesn't?! Problem is most are fried, loaded with sugar and contain other nasty ingredients!
These are healthier donuts. They are baked, refined sugar free, and made with almond flour (gluten-free friendly). BUT don't you worry, these delicious donuts don't skimp on flavor! Your taste buds will thank you!!!
Ready to make some donuts? Turn on some music, get your donut pan out, and set your oven to 350°F. Lets get this PARTY started!
XO,
Bobbielee
Preheat oven to 350°F and oil a 6 count donut pan using coconut oil.
In a medium size mixing bowl add the flour, coconut sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir to combine. Set aside.
To a small bowl, add the milk of choice and apple cider vinegar. Stir and set aside (5 minutes). It will thicken and curdle.
Add the eggs to the milk and apple cider vinegar (ACV) bowl. Using a whisk, stir to combine.
Now add the milk, ACV, and egg mixture to the dry ingredient bowl. Using a spatula, stir to combine. It will be a thick dough.
Divide the mixture amongst the donut pan, fill them 2/3 full.
Bake for 13-15 minutes. A toothpick should come out clean when the donuts are poked.
Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Allow them to cool completely before decorating.
To make the chocolate glaze, warm the chocolate chips and coconut oil, stir to combine. Once melted, remove from the heat.
Dip, decorate and enjoy!
