Applesauce is simply a delicious sauce made of apples and spices. Our kiddos love this recipe and I am certain that you will as well!
Our favorite apples to use in applesauce are MacIntosh, Fuji, Gala, and/or Jonagold. I often just mix whatever apples I have on hand!
We like adding cinnamon and nutmeg to ours but feel free to leave it out (I highly recommend adding the spices).
If you prefer a more chunky applesauce do not add it to the blender. Use a potato masher or the back of a wooden spoon and break it up to your desired consistency.
This sauce stores well in the fridge for 5-6 days or up to 2 months in the freezer (in an airtight container).

XO,
Bobbielee
Prepare all the ingredients as listed and add them to a large pot. Give them a stir to combine.
Over medium-high heat, bring it to a boil and then reduce it to low, cover and simmer. Occasionally stir the apples while they are cooking. Cook until they are tender (25-30 minutes).
Once finished cooking the apples, transfer them to a blender and blend until smooth (about 1 minute).
Applesauce can be served warm or cold, we prefer chilled.
