I will admit, I haven't always been a big fan of tofu. I now realize that I wasn't preparing it properly.
My first experience with tofu (that I actually enjoyed) was at Whole Foods, it was crispy and baked to perfection.
I tried hard to come up with my own version of their tofu, and now with this recipe, the taste and texture is very similar to what I was seeking.
Tofu is quite versatile, you can add many spices or seasonings to create a flavor perfect for whatever else you are pairing it with. Here I share a basic.
This baked tofu can be added to a salad, rice or quinoa bowl... you can even add it to a kabob stick (decrease the bake time by 10 mins), a great substitute for any paneer recipe, or simply add it to a vegetable stir fry.
The possibilities are endless, my dear friend!

XO,
Bobbielee
Preheat the oven to 400°F, line a baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper. Set aside.
In a medium sized bowl, add the tofu (prepared as per notes), avocado oil, garlic, sea salt and pepper. Combine.
Add the tofu to the baking sheet in a single layer. Place in the oven.
Bake for 25 mins. At the 10 minute mark, turn the tofu over so it cooks on all sides
