This smoothie serves as a great pre-run boost. The ingredients in this blend all have a benefit and are there to boost your energy and fuel your body for the work ahead.

Dates and bananas serve as a natural energy boost for your body, best when consumed a few hours before the activity. For hydration, I chose to use coconut water as it is electrolyte rich and provides a great base for the smoothie. Feel feel to adjust the amount to reach the desired consistency. If you are looking to add some protein to the mix, feel free to add a scoop of desired protein supplement.

For best results, I recommend consuming this blend 1.5 to 2 hours before your run.
